Motion Works is a VR series created by the French artist Paul Mezier. It uses Virtual Reality to explore perceptions impossible to produce in the real world.

The project is conceived as a series of unique VR experiences. They can be exhibited as an ensemble or as independent pieces in art galleries and institutions.

Although their nature is abstract and highly conceptual, each episode is built with an independent story, so that the viewer enjoys a transformative development going through each piece.

Some episodes offer an interpretation of physical phenomena beyond human perception, such as gravitational waves. All build on a synaesthetic language rooted in scientific theory.

The series is inspired by the work of influential artists such as James Turrell, Dan Flavin or Olafur Eliasson. It aims for a similar quality as an experience for the viewer.
